The hydrocarbon separators (class I) are positioned in places where there can be dragging such as petrol stations, mechanic garages, car parks, laundry rooms etc.
Hydrocarbon separators
Description
Function:
In the first phase, through decanting, the sands and sludge from the residual water are deposited at the bottom. At the same time, one part of the oils, with the biggest particles, separates staying on the surface. The water is then passed through the coalescing filter where the small hydrocarbon particles attach, increasing in size and therefore facilitating their subsequent separation from the water, remaining in the upper section of the separator due to the difference in density. Finally, the equipment is completed with an automatic obturation system, to avoid the dumping of hydrocarbons on the exterior in case the storage capacity is exceeded.
Characteristics:
– Manufactured from 1.5 up to 100 l/s, reaching 2.5m in diameter and some 8m in length. Made from GFRP, in accordance with legislation UNE-EN 858.
– It can also be produced incorporating a desander with greater volume, specifically for car-washes (class I).
